2.        PERSONAL DATA/NON-PERSONAL DATA THAT WE COLLECTED OR RECEIVED

2.1     In order to use the services, you are required to provide us with a valid [email address] for registration and select a username or alias that can represent you on our websites.  We may also require additional information such as, including but not limited to, your address, your contact number, your billing address when necessary.

4.2     You may choose not to receive promotional emails or messages etc. from us by following the instructions in those emails or messages etc., we may still send you non-promotional emails or messages etc. regarding your account, previous transactions or our ongoing business relations even if you decide not to receive our promotional emails or messages.

5.5    The submitted materials related to the proposed invention patent will be treated as confidential information, which will be used for the purpose related to patent search services and will be properly retained for 48 hours.

5.6    If you have no further patent search services requirements, all the materials of the proposed invention patent submitted by you will be deleted and destroyed and will not be retained after 48 hours.

 

6.        SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

6.1     You must keep the password of your account secured.  You are fully responsible for all activities, liabilities and damages caused by your failure in keeping the said password safe and confidential.  You should not disclose your username and password to any third party without our prior written permission and must inform us immediately if you noticed any unauthorized use of your password or any breach of security.

6.2     We limit access to your personal data/non-personal data to our employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with the said personal data/non-personal data in order to provide services to you or in order to do their jobs.

6.3     We have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with our legal obligations to protect your personal data/non-personal data.  However, we must stress that it is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute safety and security of your data.
